Jaime Burns, MSN, APRN, AQH

Jaime brings over 25 years of nursing experience to Clinical Neurosciences of Tampa Bay. She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing in 2018, becoming an Advanced Practice Nurse. Since then, she has provided care to a diverse patient population in primary care and long-term care settings. In 2020, Jaime transitioned into neurology, where she discovered her passion for the field. While she enjoys treating a wide range of neurological conditions, she has a particular interest in Headache Medicine. Her goal is to help patients achieve better control of their headache disorders, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Jaime has demonstrated her expertise in headache care by passing the certification exam in Additional Qualifications in Headache Medicine from the National Headache Foundation. To stay at the forefront of headache treatment, she remains actively involved in professional organizations

such as the International Headache Society, the American Headache Society, the American Migraine Association, and the American Academy of Neurology. She continuously updates her knowledge on the latest treatment guidelines and emerging therapies to provide the best possible care for her patients.

Jaime is known for her patient-centered approach, forming strong partnerships with those she treats. She is dedicated to ensuring her patients receive the care they deserve, often going above and beyond to address medication access and other barriers to treatment. She is also highly skilled in performing in-office procedures, including Botox for Chronic Migraine, Nerve Blocks, and Trigger Point Injections.

Outside of work, Jaime enjoys spending time with her family, getting lost in a good book, and caring for her animals.
